When small blood vessels called capillaries become swollen and damaged causing bleeding under the skin.

  • Skin becomes a purple-red rash and does not turn white when pressed against a clear glass?
  • Have a red/blush skin rash with spidery veins on legs/face without warning or injury?
  • Rash can turn to open sores and ulcers?
  • Can occur anywhere especially on buttocks and/or back of legs?
  • Skin is swollen?

Headache:

  • Severe headache?

Stomach region

  • Abdominal pain?
  • Blood in faeces?

Joints

  • Painful and swollen joints (can occur anywhere) especially knees and ankles?

Kidney

Female only:

  • Painful menstruation?
