What is it?

Condition that affects the inner ear (labyrinth) which is responsible to send message to the brain for sound and balance

  • There is a fluid build up in the labyrinth (a system of fluid filled channels) upsetting sound and balance.
  • It gets worse the longer one has the condition.

Cause

  • Unknown
  • Loud noise
  • Infection
  • Physical inner ear abnormalities

Symptoms

  • Loss of sound and balance (attacks) which come and go and last 20 minutes to normally a few hours to 24 hours?
  • Attacks unpredictability?
  • Balance and dizziness?
  • Nausea and vomiting?
  • Sweating?
  • Heart palpitations, irregular heartbeats?
  • Sensitivity to every day noise and/or ringing noise within and/or difficulty hearing?
  • Unsteady especially if dark?
  • Becoming deaf?
  • Irritated, depressed, anxiety and/or panic attacks?
  • Condition affecting your daily routine?
  • Feel unsteady especially if dark?

Tinnitus symptoms

  • Sensitive to normal every day sounds (hyperacusis)?
  • Normal volume sounds exceptionally loud?
  • Hear continuously or sometimes hissing, buzzing, whistling noises, or a musical tone from ‘nowhere’ or beats in time with pulse (pulsatile tinnitus)?
  • Notice sounds more when quiet environments or tired?
  • Affect your everyday life routine?
  • Hearing loss?
