Hip fracture – deep, boring pain felt in the outer-upper thigh or groin
Stress fracture (common in active females who have eating disorder, menstrual irregularities, and bone weakening (conditions that, together, are known as the female athlete triad)- gradually increasing on and/off pain when putting weight on hip.
Hip Flexor Strain – overuse of hip muscles causing swelling, restricted movement, and muscle weakness.
Hip Labrum Tear – overuse of hip or an injury to your hip can cause a tear in your labrum, causing dull or sharp anterior hip pain that worsens with weight bearing.
Femoroacetabular impingement (FAI) – bony growths develop around the hip joint causing dull or sharp anterior hip pain that worsens with weight bearing and/or aching or sharp pain in the groin area that moves toward the outside of the hip and/or the pain is often felt once standing after sitting for a prolonged period of time and/or stiffness and limping are also common and/or osteoarthritis of the hip.
