Hypervitaminosis D (High Vitamin D levels in the blood).

- Headache which is on and off or a constant headache longer than 24 hours?
- General discomfort (muscle weakness), uneasiness or ill feeling (malaise) and/or fatigue (tiredness)?
- Aching, painful muscles, muscle cramps/spasms/stiffness?
- Twitching one’s nose and/or face and arms and/or legs?
- Bone pain?
- Increase thirst, heavy sweating and need to urinate frequently?
- Dehydration
- Heart palpitations and/or irregular heartbeats?
- One find passing stools difficult (can be painful) and constipated?
- Sensitivity to everyday noise and/or ringing noise within and/or difficulty hearing?
- Balance and dizziness?
- Confusion?
- Difficult to concentrate and/or difficulty in concentrating and/or memory problems?
- Irritated depressed and anxiety?
- Hallucinations?
- Sickness and nausea?
- Abdominal pain and/or are constant violently vomiting or vomiting longer than two days (one day if a child)?

- Bone loss- Vitamin D is required for calcium absorption, high levels may cause bone loss by interfering with vitamin K2 activity.

- Discontinuing or lowering your intake of high-dose vitamin D supplements can prevent hypervitaminosis D.
- The tolerable upper limit, or the maximum daily intake of vitamin D that is unlikely to result in any health risks, has been set at 4,000 IUs per day.
- Adverse effects have been seen in those taking less than 10,000 IUs per day over an extended period of time.
