Diarrhoea - Medtick

Diarrhoea

  • When the small and mainly large intestine becomes inflamed and irritated causing bowel contractions to speed up.
  • This prevent us to remove fluid correctly resulting in frequent passing of watery stools.
  • The body is not reabsorbing water and salts at its normal level, causing the water and salts to be absorbed in the bowels from the blood stream.
  • This disturbs the balance of salts and electrolytes in the blood leading to a loss of water (dehydration).
