  • Red rash or burnt looking rash (in adults it tends to appear brown)?
  • Rash on your legs around your veins?
  • Itchy skin?
  • Flaky skin?
  • Slightly cracked skin?
  • Scaly skin?
  • Slightly thickened skin?
  • Dry skin?
  • Skin appear/look bumpy and rough, wetness in appearance?
  • Skin appears cracked?
  • Feeling of tight skin after showering, bathing or swimming?
  • Feel a loss of plumpness, dull and ‘shrunken’ to the skin?
  • Flare-ups and the skin is hot, red and swollen?

  • Bacterial skin infections
  • Viral skin infections (eczema herpeticum, caused by herpes virus):
    • Areas of painful eczema that quickly get worse
    • Groups of fluid-filled blisters that break open and leave small, shallow open sores on the skin
    • High temperature and generally feeling unwell
