What is it?

In one’s ankle joints there is a small tunnel where nerves pass through (posterior tibal nerve), if it gets compressed or a cyst forms it presses against the nerve causing pain.

  • Aching, painful muscles, muscle cramps/spasms/stiffness?
  • Joint and stiffness pain?
  • Shooting pain and/or pain on inside ankle to the bottom of foot?
  • Experience numbness of the affected area (ankle) or a burning or tingling sensation, which is often described as similar to ‘pins and needles’?
  • Pain that cannot be localized to one spot?
  • Often worsened by activity such as prolonged standing or walking?
  • Pain is often at night?
