The joint between the base of the spine and the hip does not normally have much movement, but any change in the joint physically or movement may cause lower back pain and/or leg pain.

  • This may then press against and irritate  the muscles (piriformis muscles) and/or nerves (sciatic nerve)  in the area causing pain and discomfort.
