What is it?

It is believed to be an injury to nerves in ball of the foot or pressure of the toes.


Diagnosis test

Cause

  • High heels
  • Shoes with narrow toes ending
  • Any condition where the front of foot or toes is under compression or impact i.e.
    • Foot posture
    • High foot impact i.e. running, dancing, walking barefoot
    • Flat feet
    • Bunions
    • High arches

Symptoms

  • Aching, painful muscles, muscle cramps/spasms/stiffness?
  • Joint and stiffness pain?
  • Stinging and/or burning sensation between the third and fourth toe and/or at the front of the foot?
  • Toes feel tingling and numb?
