A rare fungal infection of the dermis (skin) that is mainly caused by dermatophytes.
Majocchi’s granuloma is a rare clinical variant of tinea corporis (ringworm)
Majocchi’s granuloma is a follicular and perifollicular dermatophyte infection of the deep dermis
It is normally found around hair follicles and can be referred as ‘fungal folliculitis’ and is common on legs and/or hairy areas.
It mainly occurs in tropical areas due to the moisture
It can occur to those who have long term fungal conditions including the nail.

One should not pick on any skin infection and/or fungal skin infection, this condition can result. If plaques, nodules, or abscesses are widespread and/or seen on the face, scalp, hands, or forearms one may be immunocompromised and/or have a weak immune condition
Cause
Fungal:Trichophyton rubrum, followed by T. mentagrophytes, T. violaceum, and T. tonsurans, T. interdigitale, Microsporum canis, Nannizzia gypsea (former M. gypseum), Epidermophyton floccosum, and Aspergillus species.

Overuse of steroidal creams without potassium hydroxide examination or used steroidal cream in skin conditions causing fungal condition’s to grow
Papules (raised area of thew skin less than 1cm round) will be pink-red, and, along with the pustules (a small blister or pimple on the skin containing pus) will be located in a perifollicular (hairy) location?
Hair shafts can be easily removed from the pustules and papules?
Plaques, nodules, or abscesses are seen more often on the face, scalp, hands, or forearms of those with a weak immune system?
Tried antibacterial creams antibiotic creams, moisturisers and/or steroidal creams and has not worked (over a week or two period and/or several courses) or has got worst?
