Gonorrhoea - Medtick

Gonorrhoea

What is it?

A sexually transmitted bacterial infection that can lead to infertility if not treated.

  • This bacteria affects urogenital tract and rectum such as well as the pharynx (throat) and conjunctiva (eyes).
  • The symptoms normally occur 10-14 days after exposure to the bacteria.

One in ten infected men and almost half of infected women do not experience any symptoms hence it is important to test if one is at risk.
