What is it?

Psoriasis that is  localised to the skin folds and genitals.

Common areas affected include:

  • Armpits
  • Under the breasts
  • Groin

Cause

  • Unknown

Although it is thought that factors such as:

Medication

  • Lithium
  • High blood pressure, migraines hyperthyroidism and anxiety – B-blockers
  • High blood pressure:
  • Antimalarial- Chloroquine and hydroxychloroquine
  • Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) – Indomethacin
  • Corticosteroids
  • Imiquimod
  • Interferon
  • Terbinafine

Symptoms

  • Look at pictures, does it resemble to one‘s rash?
  • Gets worse due to sweating?
  • Gets worst due to exposing skin to rubbing?
