What is it?

A harmless enlargement of the skin oil glands.

  • These bumps are the result of damage, which leads to overproduction of sebum by the sebaceous gland casing the skin pores to get blocked and cause a bump.

They occur where many of these glands are mainly found:

  • Forehead
  • Nose
  • Cheeks
  • Mouth lining
  • Chest
  • Arms
  • Genitals

Cause

  • Sun exposure
  • Puberty
  • After an organ transplant

Medication

  • Cyclosporin (Neoral)

Symptoms

  • Lesions may be single or more than one?
  • Size of (2–9 mm)?
  • Whitish-yellow-to-pink or skin-colored bumps?
  • Central depression or dimple?
  • Painless?
