What is it?

A skin ulcer that usually appears on your legs, but may develop anywhere on your body. Sometimes it appears around surgical sites.

The condition is not infectious or contagious and does not cause gangrene

  • Within days, this bump can develop into a large, painful open sore?
  • Skin then breaks down into a painful ulcer with a purple or blue edge that may ooze fluid?
  • If one have several ulcers, they may grow and merge into one larger ulcer?
