A filiariasis type parasite infection caused by a certain infected midges: Culicoides species.

This condition mainly in occurs in world areas of:

  • Mexico
  • South Americas
  • Africa

Cause

  • Parasite: Mansonella species

Symptoms

  • Swelling or arms, shoulders and face?
  • Abdominal pain and/or are constant violently vomiting or vomiting longer than two days (one day if a child)?
  • Severe Itchiness?
  • General discomfort (muscle weakness), uneasiness or ill feeling (malaise) and/or fatigue (tiredness)?
  • Joint stiffness and pain?
