What is it?

When one has a tumour in the pituitary gland causing an increase of lactation and lack of periods.

Cause

Symptoms

  • Galactorrhea (increased lactation) including men?

Female:

  • Lack of or no periods?
  • Infertility?
  • Altered pattern of body hair in females?
  • Low sexual drive?
  • Weight gain?
  • Oily skin
  • Large breasts?

Complications /Information to beware of/General tips:

This condition may show similar symptoms to:

  • Ahumada-Del Castillo
  • Chiari-Frommel Syndrome (the abnormal production of breast milk (galactorrhea), and the absence of regular menstrual periods (amenorrhea) and ovulation (anovulatory) for more than 6 months after childbirth)
