  • Infection goes through all layers of nail causing it to turn yellow/white and becomes thickened.
  • Can have brown/blackish discolour.
  • Infection from top of nail spreads down to nail bed.
  • Debris under nail, scaling, discolouration misshaped brittle, loose and can break off.
