What is it?

A condition which affects 35% of black skinned people including Asians, central and southern pacific people.

  • It tends to occur in more females than men.
  • It tends to mainly occur on cheeks, neck, upper back and chest.

Cause

  • Family history (40-50%)
  • Defect hair follicle

Symptoms

  • Multiple, small, 1-5 mm diameter, smooth, firm, black or dark brown papules (small seborrhoeic keratosis)?
  • Mainly on cheeks, neck, upper back and chest?
  • Number and size of lesions increase with age?
  • Lesions that don’t go away?
