Cystitis

Cystitis is when the lining of your bladder is inflamed (red, swollen and hot), causes include:

  • Infections:  (i.e. E.coli (most common), Proteus spp, Enterobacter spp, Enteroccoccus spp), Stappycocci spp,Pseudomas aureginosa)
  • Irritation of the bladder (i.e. perfumery, medicated washes, soaps, deodorants, douches, perfumes and bubble baths)

Symptoms

Does one have:

  • Intense pain or burning sensation when passing urine?
  • Pass very small quantities of urine and going more often?
  • Pass urine frequently (when drinking water feels like "water is  going right through you")?
  • Increased urgency when person needs to pass urine?
  • Small drops of blood in urine?
  • Feel weak and irritable?
  • Decreased appetite?
