Bite And Sting

When an animal, insect, fish, tick and/or plant stings or bites causing an allergic reaction.
The body’s defence system, the immune system treats it like a threat and thinks it is under attack and produces a variety of chemicals in the body (e.g. histamines).
It is these chemicals that cause the symptom that causes the variety of symptoms in allergies.

Most insects (such as ants, mosquitoes, flies, spiders, ticks, and mites) do not cause such a severe reaction, however insects such as fire ants, bee’s, wasps and hornets can cause a severe reaction and it is important to get it treated.
Regarding a Bee sting it may sometimes leave behind a stinger attached to a venom sac, it is important to remove this, they tend to only sting once.
Bedbugs prefer biting the head and neck area, often biting several times in the same area and leaving a group of lesions.
