What is it?

Rare severe bacterial gum disease

Cause

General poor oral hygiene:
1. Teeth are dirty and mouth looks and smells unhealthy
2. Around teeth there is debris, plaque, tartar
3. Gum hurt and bleeds when flossed or brushed and teeth are loose
4. Bad breath
Excessive:
1. Plaque
2. Tartar
3. Cavities
4. Bad breath
5. Sensitive teeth
Periodontitis
Consume a high amount of alcohol
Heavy smoker (smoke more than 30 cigarettes daily, cigars, cigarillos, pipes or chew tobacco/beetle nut)
Weak immune system
Person who are malnourished i.e. have a bad diet causing severe damage to their health
Stress
Mouth disease:
- Bruxism
- Trismus
